Finalizing Our Strategic Vision

We are nearing completion of our new Strategic Vision, the culmination of  a year’s work in which we examined and discussed the accomplishments and lessons from our first 15 years with our members, peers, and staff. Led by Athenaeum21, this process explored our growth, expansion, and experimentation and illuminated our place in the current research, educational, socio-political, technological, and environmental landscapes.

We reviewed the visioning effort at our October 2023 Member Meeting, and have used your input, along with that of the Visioning Task Force, to prepare a set of directions and objectives for final review by the Board of Governors.  We expect to present to the membership and the public after its approval.

With this new Strategic Vision, the lens through which HathiTrust will plan and execute its work will be re-focused. The directions outlined will reflect the core priorities that will focus HathiTrust’s time, attention, and its members’ resources to fulfill our established Mission, Vision, Goals, and Values in 2024 and beyond.

We look forward to sharing this vision and appreciate the important contributions members have made to our past successes and future direction.
