Welcome to UX Designer Gayathri Ramesh

Gayathri Ramesh joined HathiTrust in October in a new role as UX Designer to conduct user research and design new components for our digital library and web interfaces. She recently completed a Master’s in UX Research and Design and has a Bachelor’s in computer science and engineering with experience in higher education and accessibility design.

Her focus on assessment and user research, with an emphasis on accessibility standards and universal design philosophies, will inform the design of HathiTrust’s interfaces to address the needs of users from around the world. 

Gayathri is looking forward to collaborating with her colleagues and  “to work towards ensuring the new website and digital library search experience is more user-friendly and seamless, especially from an accessibility perspective.”

Ange Zaytsev, User Research and Digital Services Librarian, says, “I’m delighted to have Gayathri join the team as she brings experience in the three areas of user research, UX design, and accessibility, and will help us improve our digital library services to be more usable and accessible.”
